Every year, Kansas Athletics holds a Senior & Scholar-Athlete banquet to recognize the accomplishments of its student-athletes on and off the court. Kansas Athletics has allocated more than $1.7 million toward student-athlete support for the upcoming year. Since the 1990’s, Kansas has produced 114 Academic All-Americans in all sports.

Jayhawks Give Back

The Helping Hawks program places upperclass KU student-athletes in selected Lawrence-area schools to work with students under the guidance of the institutions’ staff.

The Jayhawks also participate in a number of initiatives as a team, including free camps and clinics, and an annual trip to Lawrence Memorial Hospital to hand out Kansas Athletics gear to patients, just to name a few.

Women’s Basketball players live in fully furnished Jayhawk Towers Apartments, conveniently located near Allen Fieldhouse. The Towers come with queen-size beds and seperate living quarters.

KU student-athletes often eat at the Burge Union, located adjacent to Allen Fieldhouse, Wagnon Student-Athlete Center and Jayhawk Towers.
